What kind of travel accessories work best for car trips? It depends on what you want.
You need storage room, secondary transportation, safety for the kids, safety for your valuables, and all in one car. Let’s go over 5 key car travel accessories for your next trip.
1.) Cargo Roof rack – All trips require you to bring essentials and items so you can enjoy it. This can be even tougher than traveling via plane, as you often have several people who all need essentials. The answer is to use all possible room in your vehicle with a cargo roof rack. This allows you to store much more, no matter the type of vehicle, safely and easily. Bestop is one signature brand for cargo roof racks at affordable prices, with high ratings for many types. There is also the Weathertech Cargo Carrier, which gives you a lot of room.
2.) Bike Carrier Rack – Bike carriers for regular cars are attached to the rear trunk, roof, or rear tow hitch. You typically clamp the wheels and provide vertical support. There are many bike racks available, but be sure to get one from a reputable brand. A bike rack helps if you want secondary transportation, like for campgrounds or on summer trips.
3.) Bike Carrier Rack – If you want to hit the bike trails and get some exercise on your next vacation, bike carrier racks are another affordable essential. Bike carriers for regular cars are attached to the rear trunk, roof, or rear tow hitch. You typically clamp the wheels and use vertical support. There are many bike racks available, but the basic models are easier on the pocket book.
4.) Infant Car Seat – Of course not everyone car traveling will have a child with them, especially an infant. But it’s used by millions to safely travel with infants. Infant car seats are incredibly important for most family trips. The good news is all infant car seats sold in the US are tested for impact, though some have certain additional features for added comfort and safety. Why worry about your child’s safety? Get a good infant car seat for your next car trip.
5.) Trailer Hitch Cargo Rack – A trailer hitch cargo rack allows you to maintain a bigger load. If you don’t want to tow too much with a standard trailer hitch, these work quite well. While regular trailer hitches for hauling loads are good, if you just want an additional amount of space for a short trip, a trailer hitch cargo rack, attached to the rear of your vehicle, gives space.

Summer is only a few months away and families have begun to start discussing where they would like to go on that long awaited summer vacation. This also means that many are going to be searching for an affordable car rental, and this can be simpler then you think if you follow the the tips outlined below.
1. If possible sign up as a frequent traveler with the company of your choice. When you sign up the company will ask for an email address, which they will then send discounts and promotions to. This, however, does not mean that you can only use them with that company. Many companies are know to honor competitor discounts and promotions.
2. Search the internet for any coupons and discounts. There are many discounts offered through various coupon sites and informational web pages. Then even have special sites that deal with nothing but promotional codes for various companies.
3. Check with some of the discount travel websites like Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity although this is a good place to search for the best rates, it is also wise to follow up with the actual companies themselves to make sure that they are really offering you the best possible deals.
4. If you are flexible on your travel dates, you will be able to get better deals. Most rental companies actually will charge you less money, the longer you are renting. The best deals are usually offered for weekend and week long rentals.
5. When you reserve your car, never reserve he car you actually desire. If you are looking to rent a luxury car, instead reserve the mid size. When you go to the rental company to get pick up your reserved car, ask about an upgrade. Most times they will upgrade for a small amount of money, as the car will only be sitting in the lot and they would be making no money on it otherwise. This is the best way to get a luxury car at a mid sized price.
Cheap airfares are important now because money is tight and people are traveling for the season. Getting a cheap flight through Expedia is simple.

Named after the 19th century ship, SS Fortitude, this suburb retains much of its heritage. At one time Fortitude Valley was known for its brothels, gambling dens and questionable people. Today you can now find renovated Queenslander style houses and brand new high-rise apartment blocks amongst the old buildings. The warehouses and wool stores are being converted into trendy inner-city residences and it is now one of Brisbane’s most popular destinations.
If you enjoy a peaceful environment you may want to pass on Fortitude Valley. This is the place to be when you are trying to get out of suburbia and live a more fashionable life. If you go to Brunswick Street you can find nightclubs, bars and cafe.
The Valley as it is affectionately known is still home to many private art galleries and artists studios .The creative hub is Judith Wrights Centre of Contemporary Art. Ann Street which runs across Brunswick Street has an older feel to it but offers cutting-edge fashion and new pubs and bars such as the GPO (a bar in the former Fortitude Valley Post Office).
The “Valley” is popular with the younger generation because of its thriving Chinatown and fabulous restaurants. 70% of all households, being only 1 km from Brisbane’s city center, consist of couples without children. You will find that the accommodations they live in are apartments, as there are very few detached houses left in the area.
Five of the best restaurants to enjoy while in the Valley are:
Garuva Hidden Tranquility restaurant and Bar- a fabulous rainforest foyer leading to private tables with delicacies such as Shark fin and Chinese Roast Beef
Vietnamese restaurant- a no-nonsense restaurant offering exquisite food
Monsoon- Asian and Australian style foods in a modern restaurant
Sunbar Restaurant and Lounge- A sophisticated and fashionable place to enjoy your evening

Overseas Health Insurance Policies & Its Need

Travel plans typically feature preparations for health safety that include a international health Insurance package for the treatment of illnesses during the trip. Travel to foreign locations makes such precautions a necessity. A visit to a local healthcare centre or a doctor is a very likely scenario when the traveler is trying to adjust to different climates, unfamiliar food, and the environment.
International insurance plans cover a wide range of doctors, hospitals or healthcare institutions that are pre-recognized. International travel insurance plans cover a range of situations from short visits to a doctor to an extended stay in a hospital.
International health insurance plans can cover covers single visits, multiple visits and extended international visit for visits longer than six months. If the individual is traveling with family, all family members can be covered under the international travel health insurance plan.
Most international travel health insurance plans cover a wide range of health disorders and emergency health disorders, including illness or injuries caused due to terrorist attacks. A lot of plans also provide additional coverage such as adventurous sports riders on payment of an additional premium.
There are some conditions which are not covered as part of an international health insurance plan, such as pre-existing conditions, dental treatment and cosmetic changes. This is because an international health insurance is a short-term health insurance plan. Some plans offer coverage for pre-existing conditions.
The premiums for travel health insurance are determined by the age of the insurer and the benefits that are selected. There are different plans for men and women.
Treatment at pre-approved medical institutions can be availed by producing the medical identity card that is provided to the traveler with the international travel health insurance plan. This ensures that the bills are paid directly by the insuring company. The traveler is also provided with a list of identified and approved medical centers, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
It is also possible to receive treatment at a healthcare center, and then receive reimbursement for the treatment later. In this case, the insured must keep all medical records and bills safe. In either case, the insured may have to pre-notify the insurance company before treatment. The travel health insurance plans are underwritten by reputed companies such as Lloyds, AIG, and Nationwide.

Find And Learn The Best Ways To Travel By Plane Saving Good Money And Enjoying Wonderful Places

You’ve been looking forward to it for weeks. Your two kids have already packed their bags. Your wife has already hired the dog sitter for the dog. You have the tickets in your hand, and excitement shoots through your body like lightning, until you look at the costs of the tickets, and then you receive a real electric shock. It’s over five hundred dollars a person and you’re only traveling across the country! You begin to accept the false impression that in order to travel by air, you need to drill multiple holes in your wallet. But that’s because you got the wrong deal!
Tickets for you to travel across the world are offered by air companies who give you outrageous deals at outrageously low prices. But remember: low ticket prices are generally available according to the time of year and season.
Where you wanted to go and what airliner you chose when you bought the plane tickets makes a difference in the cost and quality of the trip. Even though the costs can vary from country to country, it is guaranteed that the right discount can be located for you if you start looking early, and book your seats speedily.
* How to obtain a cheap air trip. If you want to travel cheaply, you can save money constantly being in contact with airlines. Call them up, ask them about discounts, or look on their website(s), and review their deals weekly. Knowing when and how to access discounts can save you hundreds of dollars, and keep you informed of any new deals airlines have recently proposed.
* Also, airline salespersons and consolidators purchase tickets from airlines and resell them at lower prices so that you can save and reduce your stress. These are called “bucket shops”. Make sure, however, that you can find a ticket for your route. Booking in advance prevents others from stealing your seat.
Various types of airfare. When you’re buying your seat on the plane, make sure to remember two things. One is that you should examine the airliner market, that way you can choose your desired airfare from varying airliners. Also, look for the company with the lowest possible rate. Doing this would’ve saved you hundreds earlier!
Here you’ll see varying forms of airfare such as: – “Apex fares” – basically buying your ticket at a rate that’s much lower than the normal one because you booked in advance – “Discount fares” – discounted rates that are offered by airlines (e.g., British Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, etc.) for short periods of time – “Flexible fares” – You’ll find that with these fares, you’ll be digging into your wallet a bit, but you’re given beneficial refunds and changes on your ticket even the day you travel! These are known as full or unrestricted fares (because you pay the normal amount) – “Joint fares” – Through these rates, you have access to multiple airlines in order to do joint flights to locations around the world.
Now of course, if you’re a worker that travels around the world, being pulled from one place to another, or maybe you’re a busy hobbyist, traveling to almost every continent, or perhaps an international diplomat, whoever you happen to be, finding the right airline at the right price is indisputably important.
Just ask around, look up the information online, and you’ll find the discount that works best for you. There are even websites that match the right airline with you. If you’re not jazzed by the idea of looking deals up online, hire a travel agent who will do the work for you. They’ll provide you with the discounts you didn’t even see.
So, take a week off just for you! But remember that, you deserve a discount. To find out more, go to: Cheap Plane Tickets and Travel Tips
Flying While Pregnant – Tips To Ensure Your Safety
January 22, 2010 by Adriana Noton
As long as expectant mothers do not have any complications with their pregnancy and they are not flying when the due date is close, air travel while pregnant is normally very safe. It is safest for a pregnant woman to travel by air during the second trimester which is weeks 18 to 27. If an expectant mother is more than 36 weeks pregnant, most airlines will prohibit her from flying because of the increased risk of delivering during the flight. Although it is safe for pregnant mothers to fly, they have to be aware of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and developing blood clots, particularly during long flights.
The following tips will help ensure a safe flight when pregnant:
1. During a flight, a pregnant woman should keep a number of items nearby. Do not drink beverages containing caffeine and alcohol, but drink plenty of water. Keep your nutrition levels at their optimum levels by bringing fresh fruit which is full of vitamins such as plums, grapes, dried apricots or oranges. To avoid catching a cold or flu, wear a face mask. Bring ear plugs and an eye mask.
2. To make the flight as comfortable as possible, wear loose fitting and comfy clothing. Often a pregnant woman’s feet will swell. To make it more comfortable during the flight, wear a support hose and shoes with modifiable straps. To decrease blood clots and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) try to get up from your seat and walk up and down the aisle every hour or so. Get plenty of rest during the flight. Book a seat that allows for the most leg movement. Many airline websites have information about the varying legroom on each of their seats, or check a legroom guide to learn about the different sizes reported by each airline. A bulkhead seat and an aisle seat are a comfortable choice because there is more room to move.
3. Most medical experts recommend that a pregnant woman should not fly before 12 weeks because of the risk of a miscarriage and morning sickness. After 28 weeks, most airlines will need a letter from the expectant mother’s doctor saying she is healthy enough to fly as well as verifying the estimated due date. Because each airline has its own guidelines for flying while pregnant, when a pregnant woman books a flight, she should inform the airline that she is expecting. If booking a flight online, make sure that you check the airline’s website regarding their rules about flying when pregnant. A woman can also telephone the airline about her pregnancy ahead of time.
4. When you make your flight preparations, it is important not to be shy about giving the airlines all of your information and asking them important questions. You can also ask the airline for comfortable seating. It is important to be aware that many insurers will not insure a pregnant woman who flies because it is considered a higher risk so it is important to check with your insurance provider about their policy coverage. You can always purchase air travel insurance.
When flying while pregnant, it is important to get as much rest as possible. Flying during a pregnancy is a time when it is really worth spending a few extra dollars. Some airlines will charge a few extra dollars for seating that has a bit more room. Being pregnant does not have to make your flight uncomfortable. By consulting with your doctor, making the right flight preparations, and asking the essential questions, you will greatly increase your chances of having a restful and relaxing flight.

Alnwick – Northumberland is the home of Lord and Duchess Percy and is an absolute delight to spend time in. The residents of town dress in period costumes, there is jousting, wonder entertainment, and mouthwatering regional foods. This is a great time to become totally immersed in the town, culture and people of this wonderful town.
The Alnwick Castle and Gardens are an all day trip. The castle contains over seven hundred years of history, a wonderful museum, and great dungeon. The castle is open for tours from April through September. But, the castle is also a fantastic business centre. Part of the castle houses American Foreign Exchange Students. It has a glorious Fusiliers Museum, and there are marvelous guides and residents located throughout the castle to give directions and information about the wonderful area.
