Taking a trip down to Florida gives you a whole bunch of choices in things to do and places to go. Florida is chock full of good places to see and fun things to do. It is the Sunshine State and has plenty of it for everyone. Just remember to take along your sun block.
Florida is one of the most popular vacation destination in the United states since it has a large array of attractions and natural wonders to visit and explore. It is also attractive to vacationer, due to the fact that it is surrounded by water, therefore if you love the beach and the sand this is just the place for you to visit.
Florida has hundreds of miles of coast line, making water sports and boating very popular activities by both visitors and residents. Any beach that you visit offers rental for jet skiing, parasailing rides, snorkeling and scuba diving. Many like to head in that direction, as water sports is just what they want during their vacations. Others just look for a shady tree to relax under and read a good book or watch the people in the water and on the beach.
Along with the beaches, Florida is crisscrossed with rivers and spotted with many fresh water lakes. Boating and canoeing down the lakes is a wonderful way to pass a lazy summer day. Floating down the river on an inner tube is an even better way to spend a lazy summer day. Along with all the natural outdoor things to do, there are plenty of man made, highly interactive attractions. The state is filled with theme parks, many of them known worldwide. Of course there is Disney World and Sea World, but there are some smaller parks and water theme parks open almost all year round.
Of course you can take a ride down south and visit the southernmost point in the US in Key West. It’s a long drive down there, so make sure to pack a lunch. No matter what you like to do, outdoor activities or theme parks or maybe take in a NASCAR race in Daytona, there are plenty of things to do when you visit Florida. After spending the day at the beach there is plenty of nightlife, with tons of great restaurants and night clubs at almost every beach destination. Daytona is home to NASCAR as well as the world famous bike week.
