Making Candles the California Way

Gone are the days when only a certified candle maker or candle manufacturing owner has the ability to make candles. Nowadays, beginners can easily make do it yourself candles that are good as a hobby and as a business too. Candle making is not only a craft hobby but a money making opportunity as well. To make your own do it yourself candle, you must first prepare the ingredients. The ingredients are: metal saucepan, thermometer, paraffin wax, candle wicks, spoon, candle dyes and candle scent (optional). Melt the wax into the saucepan and add desired coloring and scent. Remove from heat and transfer to mold. Allow to dry, remove from mold and transfer to wax paper to air dry.
Now you can make many candle designs out of this procedure. You can actually make food candles such as pizza, cookie, chocolate mousse, burger candles, etc. The possibilities with working with candles are endless! It is because candle wax is very pliable and workable that it is easy to make many shapes depending on the desire of the worker.
Wax dyes are widely available in craft shops or candle making shops. They are used to color your candle so you can create your desired shade and form. Dyes are the solution to your candle coloring problems. Candles scents are also purchased at craft shops. It can equally bring excitement to a candle art. Just imagine a chocolate mousse candle that looks like and smells like the real one!
