5 Great Things you can do in the Mountains

Are you heading to the mountains and asking yourself what you could get into? There are plenty of great adventures in the mountains and depending on exactly how much time you might have depends on exactly how ambitious you can be.
1. Fishing – Should you be in the mountains, fishing in a chilly mountain stream for trout is a must. Fly fishing has been a popular fishing approach since people begun fishing with hooks. Fishing for trout seems be getting hot by May and continue throughout the summer. Salmon fishing is good between September and December in most areas. Be sure to study up on the area you are going and find out what is biting when you are going to be there. There are also some big bass in mountain lakes as well as crappie and other species.
2.Hiking – Finding a good hiking trail is simple in most parks and can result in finding spiritual places. Hiking is enjoyable to do with friends but not advised to do on your own. Always be well prepared before for the trail and consume plenty of water before you leave as well as bring plenty with you! Be also certain to bring enough food for a few good meals, not to mention bringing a good sharp knife, a lighter or matches, backpack, flashlight, map of trail, compass, light raincoat or plastic bags. If it rains you can use either one to keep your gear dry. You never know when bad weather can strike or you make a wrong turn. I always carry my cell phone with me also just in case!
3. Boating and Kayaking – Floating down the creek in a Canoe or Kayak is a great way spend early summer. Some people fish, some people take pictures and others just enjoy the views from another perspective. Remember to always wear a life jacket and never underestimate the power of water. One minute the river can be calm and slow and the next you can be white water rapids. The best way to learn about the river is to go on guided floats. Many parks and lakes have boat rentals at affordable rates!
4. Hunting – Depending on what time of the year you vacation determines what you can hunt. You can find hunting clubs or guides for day hunts or for full retreats! Many areas have prime deer hunting, Turkey, elk, moose, quail, chukar, duck and many others. Also many ranches and guides offer hunting and vacation packages. Enjoy fine dining and fine hospitality on a vacation hunt! Have the hospitality of a bed and breakfast with the adventure of a wild game hunt.
5.Snow Skiing – High Mountain areas host ski lodges and resorts that wait for winter guest to hit the slopes every year. Some resorts have advanced snowmaking systems that allow more snow and in some cases extends the season.
Be sure and share your experience, so don’t forget your camera! Just remember don’t become too comfortable around wild animals, many are territorial and don’t take kind to anyone invading their space.

Where Can I Find A Business Center In Hotel Lobbies?
February 10, 2010 by Adriana Noton
Business travel used to be simple and fun. Traveling by air has changed some of that. Having to carry a laptop, printer and all the paraphernalia that goes with this equipment has also become a real pain. Not to mention that if flying, many airlines are charging for extra baggage. The advent of having a business center hotels lobbies, has really become a huge benefit.
There are many occasions when the need for a fax machine or copy machine is needed. It used to be all right to bring a portable printer when you were traveling, but now there is no need as many of these centers are better equipped than your office.
Over the past five or so years, almost every hotel has added a business center in the lobby. You will usually find several computers, a fax machine, a copy machine and obviously, Internet access. Fortunately, the cost of using these facilities is still inexpensive, but they are as functional as being in your office, or your home office.
When this idea was introduced business centers were not very functional. The computers were slow. The software was outdated and that was about it. Today, these are well designed and have pretty much everything you need to work efficiently. You will now find lightning fast computers with up to date software, fax machines and copiers. There are several software companies that are donating their newest technology to the hotel computers. You may be using products that are not even available at retail.
One of the biggest changes in the past few years, is how much more is available in the center. Early on, there were a couple of outdated computers that were slow and poorly equipped. Today, the computers are lightning fast. You will find printers, copiers and fax machines as well. They have evolved into small offices for the business travelers.
Some of the more upscale hotels will have the newest technology available. It allows you to try some software or printer that you may not have access to anywhere else. There have been many travelers whom have requested where they can buy some of the stuff that is loaded on the computers, that in some cases, has not hit the market yet. Some software companies donate these products to get a feel of how people will respond to them, before they are sold at retail. In fact, you may be asked to review some new products before you leave the hotel. The usual reward is a prepaid card to use on your next trip.
When you enter, make a small deposit into an ATM and you will receive a debit card for the value of your deposit. You then insert this into a module next to your computer and you are in business. As your time winds down a little clock will notify you of how much time you have left. It may be there to keep you from wasting time, so do what you need to do and finish up.
Overall, the business center in hotel lobbies is a great addition. When you are making reservations, be sure to ask if there is one on premise and if not, stay somewhere else. The better hotels are basically telling you that they appreciate you staying there and they wish to make your stay as comfortable and functional as possible.

The Surf And Beach Town of Encinitas California

San Diego’s town of Encinitas has more than six miles of lovely beaches. Whether its swimming, surfing, boogie-boarding, reading books, running, jogging, playing volley ball or just loafing in the sun, Encinitas really does have it all.
If you like to work out, you’ll find what you’re looking for at Stone Steps Beach. You can run these stairs 5 times every morning and be in the best shape of your life. These steep stairs lead down from the top bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and offer fantastic views to enjoy while you work out. At high tide the ocean comes right up to the bottom of the stairs. At low tides, the beach is wide and sandy.
Swami’s Surf Beach, forever immortalized in the Beach Boys Surfin USA, is just five blocks south of Moonlight Beach on historic Highway 101 and still draws the finest surfers in the world on a daily basis. Great scuba diving is just offshore from Swamis at the Encinitas Marine Life Refuge, North San Diego’s underwater park.
Moonlight Beach is a only a four minute walk from a wonderful little Bed and Breakfast Inn called the Inn at Moonlight Beach. Stone Steps Beach, Beacon’s and Grandview surfing and bathing beaches are north of Moonlight Beach, all within walking distance or a brief drive up Neptune Avenue.
Anyone can learn to surf by taking surfing classes with world-famous Kahuna Bob, an icon in Encinitas. You can find him by Googling Kahuna Bob Surfing.
Moonlight Beach is my favorite beach in Encinitas because it has lifeguards, a big playground, easy-to-use parking lots, safe play areas for the kids, fire-rings (popular year-round), showers, clean restrooms, extensive beach rentals, a snack bar and, one of the best sandy beaches in all of Southern California.
Following are three websites with helpful hotel and B…B information when you visit San Diego, Encinitas or other surrounding communities: Carlsbad Bed and Breakfasts and Del Mar California Hotels.
Terry Hunefeld moved to Encinitas in 1998. After taking early retirement as President/CEO of a national training company in San Diego, Terry now pursues his life’s passion of sailing the Pacific Ocean observing seabirds and marine mammals. Terry recommends you visit: Bed and Breakfast in Carlsbad or Carlsbad Hotels.
Cheapest Hotels in Atlanta Georgia
July 11, 2009 by Chuck Kessler
Locating a first-class rate in Atlanta Georgia on a hotel is not a difficult task. You can continuously find a really cheap hotel in the city. The only point you want to pay attention to is where you are staying. You don’t want to end up staying in a part of town in which you will not be comfortable.
In this commentary I have paid no attention to location, I am merely going to share the top 5 cheap hotels that fall inside the city limits of Atlanta. You will want to shop through these hotels to make sure they are in an area you want to stay. I also propose you book in advance, and book with a site that has various hotel chains. The chances of you being moved to an alternative hotel, if one doesn’t meet your standards, are elevated if you book with a hotel discounter instead of directly through a hotel.
The principal 5 cheap hotels in Atlanta are:
Hometown Inn starts at just $30 nightly.
Microtel Inn Galleria starts at $32 nightly
Days Inn/Jimmy Carter Blvd. starts at $34 nightly.
Masters Inn Marietta starts at $34 nightly.
The greatest way to save cash is to book at a site which offers a low price pledge. This means that prior to your trip if you find a lower price the site will match the price or refund your money so you can book the lower rate. Most hotel chains do not offer this quality because they essentially sell their rooms at wholesale to suppliers and therefore would always be undercut.
Booking in advance is the best way to save money because as the hotel gets more reservations they will boost prices. You need to decide when you are going to go and then get your trip booked, you can make changes soon after on most reservations, but you will be subject to the elevated rates since it is closer to the time of your trip.
Seven Fun Activities You Must Do While Vacationing In Encinitas
June 12, 2009 by Terry Hunefeld

Encinitas is a lovely beach town along the Pacific Ocean just north of San Diego. There are other cute towns along the coast, but Encinitas is special, quite different from other beach towns in San Diego county because it is lost in time ” locked in the 1960s. To feel the flavor of Encinitas, here are seven things you must do while visiting.
1. Where Else In California Can You Take A Walk In A Rainforest?
Lovely Quail Botanical Gardens is less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean with more than 32 acres full of endangered and extraordinary plants from all around the world. Tours and nature walks each day take visitors down the wonderfully scenic trails (with killer views of the ocean!), through totally unique tropical gardens, arid desert gardens, enormous bamboo groves, California native plant gardens, a rainforest with its own waterfall, Mediterranean gardens, tropical fruit gardens and a unique children’s garden. At once beautiful and serene, Quail Gardens is a place to spend an entire day simply enjoying nature in all its splendor.
2. Yes, You CAN Learn To Surf
Kahuna Bobs Surf School has been a local legend in Encinitas for nearly 25 years. His distinctive and engaging teaching style puts brand new surfers at ease during his group or private instruction. In 2009, the City of Encinitas awarded Kahuna Bob with an exclusive surf-lesson license at the best beginner surfing beach in Encinitas, Beacons Beach, where the waves break perfectly for beginning surfers.
3. Become A Beach Boy (or Beach Girl)
World renown Swamis Beach was put on the map by the Beach Boys in 1963 when they sang about Surfin USA. Nearly fifty years later, Swamis draws the best surfers on the planet, making for exciting entertainment when watching them from above. An enormous staircase takes you down to the beach if you want to be closer, while picnic tables and benches up-top near the cliff edge give you an eagles view of phenomenal surfing feats.
4. Take In A Movie ” At A Real-Life Movie House
Do you have fond memories of the real old-time movie theaters? If so, get down to La Paloma Theatre built in the 1920s, where you can see first-run movies, eccentric art movies, and the premieres of many surfing and snowboarding movies. La Paloma is known around San Diego as THE movie house to partake in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. La Paloma was the first theatre to show “Talkies” back in the twenties.
5. Meditate At A Temple
Indias Swami Yogananda first visited Encinitas more than 60 years ago and built a temple that looks for all the world like youre in India. He built the temple on a spectacular setting ” a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Swamis beliefs of love, peace and mediation still attract tens of thousands of followers all over the globe. The lush temple grounds ” quiet gardens and lovely ponds ” are open daily day to the public for no charge. Here is a special place to walk, breathe deeply, meditate and put life into perspective while the distant surf pounds the cliffs below you.
6. The Best Beach To Work On Your Tan
If your visit is anywhere between June and November, Moonlight Beach is by far the most popular beach in North County San Diego to work on that tan. A five minute walk from downtown Encinitas, this State Park (free admission) is the perfect place to simply relax and soak up some sun, have a picnic with your sweetie, get in a game of pickup volleyball, test your surfing skills, try boogie-boarding or body surfing, read your favorite novel, watch people people-watch or simply have fun and take it easy. You will find lots of free parking, a cool life-guard station, a beach-gear rental concession, great showers and restrooms, a nice childrens playground, trendy snack and lunch shop and beach fire-rings to enjoy bonfires in the evening.
7. Relax In Your Private Hot Tub And Watch The Sun Set
The Inn at Moonlight Beach is a romantic little Inn perched on a hillside above Moonlight Beach overlooking both the Pacific Ocean and the quaint beach town of Encinitas. It’s a magical place of sand, sea, sun and surf. 4 lovely ocean-view suites recall a French-European Seaside Inn with spotless private baths, wi-fi internet, refrigerator and Cable TV. All this, yet prices are $50 – $75 less than other Bed & Breakfast Inns in San Diego. Inquire about the Penthouse Suite with its own private balcony and very private hot tub overlooking Pacific Ocean sunsets. Inn At Moonlight Beach, 105 N. Vulcan Ave, Encinitas, CA 92024.
