Whether you are traveling from within Australia or from somewhere else on the globe, you will find nothing but wonder when you arrive in the Gold Coast. There are three main factors that you should follow whenever traveling. Knowing each of these will allow for a more wonderful holiday experience.
Proper Time Management- The Gold Coast makes up a captivating region, beautiful and constructed with numerous activities for you to savor. Having the best imaginable holiday experience means balancing your inactive days by the beach with days filled up with activities. It’s a challenging counterbalance, but the one and only that will contribute to the most salutary and fantastic experience to your holiday. Make sure that the day you arrive and the one right before you set out for home, are slothful beach days. Attempting to accomplish too many activities is a large mistake when visiting this region. Flip-flopping activity days with beach days and will bring about the best of both worlds.
Project In Advance- try to lay out the essential prospects of your travel considerably in advance. Utilize the web to reach the information you desire and to make bookings. The farther you set up matters in advance, the greater chance you will get everything you are looking for, and this will establish the most roaring holiday.
Knowing Right From Wrong In The Region- When ever you are traveling to an unfamiliar location it is important that you make your self aware of all the rules, traffic laws, and even beach rules of the area. It is also a wise idea to learn about the different terminology of things as well as the language that is spoken. By learning all this before you leave on your trip you will make for a much smoother holiday experience.
If you have already chosen the Gold Coast for your next holiday vacation destination, you will not be disappointed. It is the perfect location for a beach holiday filled with fun and adventure. No matter what you fancy you will find it on the coast of Australia .

At first you may be tempted to fly into the Brisbane Airport , pick up a car hire and hit the road for the Sunshine Coast , and don’t get me wrong, this is a wonderful way to see the region, if you know where you are going and are prepared to do such. But if navigation is not your thing, then you might want to more carefully consider taking advantage of the many guided tours of this region.
You will find that finding your way around a new region can be, let us say, a bit difficult. And choosing the right tourist attractions to see and finding unique places to explore can be difficult. Especially if the only experience you have with the region is via the internet. Search engines may effectively pick up on the most relevant websites to your search terms but you certainly can’t ask them to direct you to things that will interest you while on holiday.
When you are partaking in a guided tour you will have a vacation experience that you may not be able to have on your own. There are various tours available included those that take you on a exploration of the Noosa Everglades and others that take you to enjoy the many Sunshine water sports and activities. All the tours are reasonably priced and most include a special event., access to National Parks and even meals.
All tours can be easily accessed on the internet, before you leave for your vacation. Therefore, when you arrive at the Sunshine Coast you can have your vacation planned out already. All you need to do is search for Sunshine Coast Australia Tours and all the information you desire will be at your fingertips.
Even if you don’t want to take one every day, try to arrange one tour of the Sunshine Coast region at the beginning of your holiday. This will give you a better lay of the land, and will allow you to decide which areas you want to go back and see more of.
When you are looking for sunshine coast information log onto www.sunshinecoastinformation.com.au. Whether you are looking to stay in one of the numerous Mooloolaba Hotels or wanting to know about local happenings all you need can be found on this site.

Named after the 19th century ship, SS Fortitude, this suburb retains much of its heritage. At one time Fortitude Valley was known for its brothels, gambling dens and questionable people. Today you can now find renovated Queenslander style houses and brand new high-rise apartment blocks amongst the old buildings. The warehouses and wool stores are being converted into trendy inner-city residences and it is now one of Brisbane’s most popular destinations.
If you enjoy a peaceful environment you may want to pass on Fortitude Valley. This is the place to be when you are trying to get out of suburbia and live a more fashionable life. If you go to Brunswick Street you can find nightclubs, bars and cafe.
The Valley as it is affectionately known is still home to many private art galleries and artists studios .The creative hub is Judith Wrights Centre of Contemporary Art. Ann Street which runs across Brunswick Street has an older feel to it but offers cutting-edge fashion and new pubs and bars such as the GPO (a bar in the former Fortitude Valley Post Office).
The “Valley” is popular with the younger generation because of its thriving Chinatown and fabulous restaurants. 70% of all households, being only 1 km from Brisbane’s city center, consist of couples without children. You will find that the accommodations they live in are apartments, as there are very few detached houses left in the area.
Five of the best restaurants to enjoy while in the Valley are:
Garuva Hidden Tranquility restaurant and Bar- a fabulous rainforest foyer leading to private tables with delicacies such as Shark fin and Chinese Roast Beef
Vietnamese restaurant- a no-nonsense restaurant offering exquisite food
Monsoon- Asian and Australian style foods in a modern restaurant
Sunbar Restaurant and Lounge- A sophisticated and fashionable place to enjoy your evening
Mellinos- The best pizza and pasta around.

Byron Bay
This is a seaside town situated in Northern New South Wales. It has many magnificent eastern points. Cavvanbah, as it was known in the Australian “dream period”, was a place where native Aborigines used to trade goods, find marriage partners and congregate to swap stories. This place now is a magnet for tourists. It is ideal if you are looking for the small beach town type of holiday. It is also home to some of the best music festivals of Australia. This includes Splendor In The Grass and East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival. It also happens to be a very famous whale watching destination especially during the humpback whale’s winter migration.
Mount Tamborine
High above the Gold Coast, on a plateau, Mount Tamborine is a destination for those who love nature or hiking. The restaurants, hotels, and spa retreats as well as multifarious rainforest trails, waterfalls and streams provide plentiful reason to be there. No doubt it is undergoing a boom in tourism industry as it has something for every tourist. There is a local produce market held on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
Airlie Beach
This town is very near to the GBR, in the Whitsunday region (Queensland), Australia. Bathers may find it tricky to enter the water at certain times of the year due to “stingers” such as Box jellyfish. Still, the good news is that the local council has built a protected lagoon that allows safer swimming and is accessible 365 days each year. Blessing Of The Feet Festival is the ideal time to visit Airlie. This fest was started by Father Keith Felgate on Whit or Pentecost Sunday.
Blue Mountains
The Blue Mountains at 1,190 meters high, is a spectacular place, with its strange and beautiful blue haze, 7 designated conservation reserves and national parks, waterfalls, and sandstone cliffs. It covers an area of about 10,000 sq km. It has been declared as a World Heritage Area by UNESCO as recently as 2009.
Yamba
Australian Traveller Magazine voted this region as No. 1 Australian town in 2009. It is a magnificent seaside holiday destination. The accommodation is handy for every tourist, from luxury hotels and resorts to economical and discounted but comfortable residences.

Safety Tip For Driving Your Australian Rental Vehicle
December 29, 2009 by Jason Hall
Traveling by car is the best way to see those out of the way places, while visiting Queensland, without having to take a tour. Super, diesel and unleaded are available at all stations, however LPG is usually only available at stations located in a populated area. The prices of gas varies from time and place, however it will always cost more on the weekends and bank holidays, so it is best to fill up during the week.
There are many rental companies available and the best thing to remember is that if you want to travel a long distance then you will need a policy with unlimited kilometers. Big firms sometimes offer one-way rentals so that you can pick it up in one town and drop it off when you reach your destination but there are a variety of restrictions on these deals and sometimes there can be a huge drop-off fee so read the small print. 4WD and camper vans are a booming market. Having a 4WD enables you to get right off the beaten track and out to some of the natural wonders that most travelers miss but insurance on these can be high and some insurance on 4wd does not cover damage done when off road (anything not bitumen or dirt road).
Queensland roads consist of a few multi lane highways, major roads with two lanes and dirt roads which are great for seeing the countryside. It is important while driving, especially at dawn and dusk, that you are aware of Kangaroos. They are the most common hazard on Australian roads, no matter what speed you are driving you will make a mess of both your car and the Kangaroo should you hit one.
Most Australians choose not to travel too much at night because of the hazards caused by animals but if you are on a strict schedule, you may find it necessary so if you are traveling in the dark and a large animal appears in front of you, hit the brakes and dip your lights and only swerve if its safe to do so. Numerous travelers have been killed in accidents caused by swerving to miss animal’s. Sometimes it’s safer for you to hit the animal however traumatic this may be.
Along the east coast and in country areas, drunk driving is a major issue. Attempts are being made to address so be prepared to stop for random breath testing station or booze buses somewhere on your travels. If your blood alcohol levels are greater then 0.05% you should also be prepared to pay a large fine and lose of your license. Parking is another costly problem, although it may cost some money to park in the designated areas, it is still less money then being ticketed.
If you are ready to holiday in Australia be sure to use the car hire Surfers Paradise has loved for years. Log onto www.budget.com.au for the best deals available. You can also get a brisbane car rental vacationers have enjoyed while driving from sight to sight.
A Navigation System Can Help Your Travels In An Unfamiliar Land
December 24, 2009 by Jason Hall

Renting a vehicle for your travels can be a stressful thing. You want to make sure you drive as safe as you can and that no damage is done to the vehicle you are driving. you can prepare yourself a little by studying the laws and rules for traveling in this unfamiliar land, but there is not much you can do to learn all the roads, turns and routes that will get you from point A to point B
What many do not realize is this is no longer an issue. Just as rental companies offer trailers, roof racks and safety seats for the children, they also offer navigational devices that will assist you on your travels. GPS devices are available to rent now from many of the major rental companies. This can be a big help when you are unfamiliar with the area that you will be traveling in.
A helpful device, a GPS system, can also help you easily locate points of interest as well as locate emergency services when you need them. These items can be very handy when in the possession of a foreign traveler looking to explore uncharted territories.
Now although the availability on these devices is currently limited, this is believed to be an idea that will really take off. Over the next year, these items should become available at a variety of vehicle rental agencies worldwide to aid in directing the tourist to their destinations more quickly and safely than before. And the thought is that more locations will be offering these devices at a reasonable rate because of the need to keep tourists safe.
If you need to you can also bring your own GPS device along with you, just make sure that it is set for the area you will be traveling in. It is a helpful way to get around without worry and can be a useful device especially for those who lack a good sense of direction or map reading skills.
Budget Rent a Car is the best site to rent from if you are searching for a car rental Surfers Paradise. They are the number one rental car company in all of Australia.
