The Deer Valley Resort in Park City Utah is primarily a ski resort, however they are also able to welcome guests to spend the summer months with them. Unlike many other ski resorts which are only open in the winter skiing season, this resort also provides non-stop activities and accommodation in the summer months too.

This resort operates with a commitment to their customers that is second to none. Summer time is just as much fun as winter time and they provide many different activities for the summer vacationer to participate in. For example they use the ski lifts to offer visitors scenic lift-rides and lift assisted hiking. You can mountain bike if you are a fan of this activity and there are 55 miles of trails made available at Deer Valley Resort for this popular sport.

Summer Deer Valley lodging packages for accommodations are available, and they are reasonably priced with a good variety of different Deer Valley lodging options available. The majority of the Deer Valley lodging options are condominiums, but lodges, private residences and some hotel accommodations are also available. There is a central reservations service available which will be able to make reservations for you as well as inform you of what accommodations are available. You’ll find the best deals; however, by contacting the Deer Valley lodging and property management companies directly. Look for websites that help you search lodging and then contact the property manager yourself. These sites don’t earn a reservation commission, so you should be able to negotiate a discount of at least 10%.

Season dates vary throughout the property management companies; however it is generally accepted that winter high season is from December 21 to January 6 and the second week in February through the end of March. The summer runs from mid April through November with a few different rate changes in the peak of summer.

Although summer is great at Deer Valley, winter really has some gifts in store for you. The resort is well known for having revolutionized the ski resort industry when it changed its approach to service more than 27 years ago. This was when Deer Valley became North America’s first ski resort to provide the same kind of service as that of a first class hotel.

Amenities during the winter months are of the highest possible standard. Discover Deer Valley Dining

Catering for one of the premium level ski resorts in the Wasatch region, Deer Valley restaurants are renowned for their quality. This is true of both service and food, as they cater for a more discerning palette, used to the delights of fine dining, and exclusivity. Such an approach settles well with the upmarket focus of the resort, offering such luxury service as ski valets and shopping boutiques.

There are three fine dining restaurants within the resort, all of which enjoy respected head chefs and well trained kitchen and dining room teams. First amongst these is the Mariposa. An award winner for several years, it enjoys a reputation as one of the best ski resort restaurants in the world. Diners are offered a range of menus, with the popular tasting menu heading up the impressive list for chef to demonstrate his skills. Contemporary and classic food is available for those not wanting to experiment.

Next in the impressive list of resort restaurants is the widely acclaimed Seafood Buffet. Focusing on providing only the best quality, most sustainable seafood, customers can experience a delightful menu. The Seafood Buffet is again only open throughout the ski season, but is a favorite for both locals and visitors alike, who enjoy the slightly more relaxed environment. Many reviews are posted on the Internet promoting this restaurant, which lovers of cr?me brulee in particular would do well to take notice of.

Ending the list with a flourish is the Fireside Dining restaurant, that delivers Alpine charm, and introduces a novel concept to dining that is fun. Diners are invited to explore the delights on offer, with a tour around four fireplaces. The first offers tempting appetizers including homemade breads, cheeses and chutneys. The second and third fireplaces, present Swiss inspired main courses, with succulent meat dishes, game, poultry and authentic vegetarian options. At the final fireplace, you are invited to select from a tempting range of desserts to finish the meal and partake in the bar offerings.

If you are staying in the resort, it may seem unnecessary to venture outside into the local area. Despite the impressive number and quality of eateries available, it would be a worthwhile trip. Your vacation could only be improved by visiting some of the restaurants around the resort.

An immensely popular restaurant, that itself has won many plaudits and awards is the Goldener Hirsch Inn. Here, diners can expect to receive an excellent service alongside the American and European inspired dishes. Unlike the resort restaurants, the Goldener Hirsch is open year round, though reservations are recommended at all times.

Yet another fine dining experience can be enjoyed at The Gliterand. Offering a regional take on the pinnacle of cuisine, innovations and modernizations to classical dishes are clearly the concept here. Deer Valley restaurants are not all about fine dining however. The best exponent of the more traditional and homely offerings can be enjoyed at the Stew Pot. With traditional dishes and comforting soups, all homemade with evident care and passion, this is popular throughout the year, ski time or sun.

Whatever your reason for visiting Deer Valley, you are sure of a great experience, which will only be complemented by the good food on offer. Whether you are looking for a romantic venue, or something with a bit of life to relax in, it is here and waiting.

Many people know that Utah is a breathtaking state. The scenery is impeccable and everything about the state really screams beauty. What you may not know is that Utah is actually a fantastic place for your next ski vacation. There are many different resorts in Utah that specialize in skiing and in order to find the perfect Utah ski resort, you need to know exactly what you are looking for!

You will need to consider which resort you want to ski or ride, and where you are going to stay in town. There are many different options from slope side to rental properties in the heart of residential neighborhoods. Making sure there is a lot to do around your hotel or condo is important, especially if you are interested in easy access to bars and restaurants.

This is one of the main reasons why Park City Utah ski resorts such as Deer Valley Resort are so popular. The area is filled with world class skiing as well as a beautiful resort town with many off mountain attractions. Park City UT is nestled right within the mountains and it truly is one of the few places that have so many options within such a short distance to a major airport.

The nightlife in Park City Utah is certainly popular, especially during the Sundance Film Festival, but that is not all this quaint ski town has to offer. There are also a wealth of high quality restaurants and boutique shopping options available for any budget. You should definitely visit some of the local shops that can help you find the perfect gift to for yourself or loved ones back home.

Looking for the ideal vacation spot is certainly a challenge for a lot of people. This is one of the main reasons why some travelers turn to travel agents and third party booking agencies for advice. While some of those services can certainly provide assistance, you may be able to find the best deals by calling lodging providers directly when traveling to Park City Utah. There are plenty of great resources on the web which you can use to educate yourself prior to making your final decision.

Honestly, when it boils down to price, you should remember that most things are negotiable. Remember that if you wait until the last minute you can usually find some fantastic deals; however, you absolutely run the risk of being limited to second tier options. If you are planning a trip in the near future you may just find that hotels and resorts are so happy to have your business they will offer their best deal right up front.

As you can probably already see, finding the perfect ski resort for you in Utah can be an enjoyable experience as long as you know where to look. Utah is a fantastic place to go on a vacation, especially if you are an avid skier and you are looking for the complete vacation package.

Deer Valley Utah Fine Dining Restaurants

The ski resorts in Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado have been competing over the last 20 years to create the perfect mountain vacation getaway. The ski vacation is no longer the same experience it was in the 1980s when lodgings of marginal quality were considered the norm.

Over the last 10 years western ski resorts have continually expanded their size, quality of facilities, and breadth of services. Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah and Vail Resort in Vail, Colorado have risen to the top of the ski resort show down. Deer Valley Resort has been ranked the #1 Ski Resort in North America by the readers of Ski Magazine in 2001, 2005, 2007, and 2008. Vail Resort held the honor in 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2006.

To consistently hold the #1 spot in Ski Magazines survey, Deer Valley Resort focuses on its dining experience, on mountain services, and well manicured ski runs. Deer Valley is widely known to have the best food in the ski business but it does not just stop with lunch. The resort converts its opulent ski lodges into fine dining restaurants each night during the ski season. Each evening the staff redecorates with such skill you can hardly notice that you are dining in the same lodge you ate lunch earlier in the day.

The Mariposa is considered Deer Valleys flagship dining establishment serving European continental fare. Fireside Dining offers optional romantic horse drawn sleigh rides before dinner and a unique Swiss alpine menu served alongside stone fireplaces. The Seafood Buffet is a longtime favorite featuring a large selection of seafood as well as hearty items from the grill.

Park City has also added many fine dining establishments as well as hundreds of new luxury ski accommodations. The modern traveler demands a decidedly more luxurious experience than the traditional ski vacation lodging options and restaurants were able to provide.

Due to this recent transition towards a more discerning visitor, Park City and Deer Valley restaurants have responded by providing an ever improving dining experience. Mobile, Michelin, AAA, and Zagat rate several restaurants close to Deer Valley Resort as top choices within their widely read travel guides.

Although there are many fantastic Deer Valley restaurants, my favorite choice is the Goldener Hirsch Restaurant which is tucked away in the Austrian inspired Goldener Hirsch Inn. The Stein Eriksen Lodge has arguably one of the finest restaurants in the county with its Glitretind Restaurant. The Glitretind is also famous for its daily Skiers Lunch Buffet during the winter season.

No matter what your personal preference, Deer Valley Resort certainly lives up to its reputation as a top ski destination in North America. There are now many unique dining options to compliment the fabulous skiing and scenery. Its definitely worth a closer look.
