Blue Mountain Chalets: A Whole New World Of Family Fun.

February 20, 2010 by Adriana Noton

A holiday in the Blue Mountain area near Ontario in Canada will open up a whole new world of family fun. It doesn’t matter which time of the year you go, there will always be lots to do and to see. For the family man Blue Mountain chalets offer the best alternative by far.

For a family or 4 or more, chalet accommodation makes perfect sense cost wise if compared to a stay in a hotel. Should you stay in a hotel, you will have to rent at least two rooms, which will sharply increase the cost of your holiday. To pay for two rooms in a hotel for a week or more will make a serious dent in the family budget and simply mean that there is a lot less money available to do all the things that you planned to do.

Something else to remember is that if you stay in a hotel there will be no facilities to prepare meals for the family. You will therefore have to eat all meals either in one of the hotel’s restaurants or somewhere in town. This fact alone will sharply increase the total cost of your holiday and once again mean that there is less money to spend on other things.

Another aspect of a chalet holiday is simply the increased space it provides to every member of the family. The majority of chalets are quite roomy. There will in all likelihood be a lounge area where the family can watch television, play games or just relax. Most chalets also have a large kitchen counter with bar stools where all of you can gather to have your meals or just sit and chat.

Temperatures in the Blue Mountain area can plummet during winter. For this reason many chalets in the area have fireplaces around which all family members can get really comfortable on a long winter evening. There is simply no way that an electric heater in a hotel room can ever be compared to the ambiance provided by a crackling log fire. These cozy evenings will become some of your fondest family members in future years.

Chalets often even have such facilities as a pool table to keep everyone busy during a long, cold evening when it’s pouring outside. A few of the upmarket ones even come with a private swimming pool and a hot tub. If there isn’t a private pool, you will most likely have access to a communal swimming pool, which is excellent for hot summer’s days.

Staying in a chalet of course does not mean that you will be cut off from life in the surrounding area. You can still go out when you feel like it and dine at one of the many restaurants in the Blue Mountain area. There are such a variety of eating places that you will find it hard to make a choice. From lively pizza places to cozy little places ideal for a candle lit dinner for mom and dad.

In so many respects a holiday in one of the Blue Mountain chalets is the perfect family vacation. There’s so much to do and to see in the surrounding area that family members will never get bored. There is entertainment for people of all ages and every family member will go back home regenerated and ready for what life has to offer.

Planning to ski or snowboard but don’t have a place to stay? Save money by staying in Blue Mountain chalets instead of hotels. Enjoy the comfort of a home while being close to the mountain in these Blue Mountain accommodations. With breathtaking views and in an area with many unique experiences, you’re bound to enjoy yourself.

How High Class Private Jet Bookings Can Enhance Your Travel

If you have ever considered a private jet flight, but felt you weren’t suited for that kind of travel, think again. Technology and modern times have made even something luxurious like a private jet flight, available to almost anyone. They are an easy and fun way to enjoy your travels, even if you are headed somewhere boring and dull.

If you want to travel in style, then consider a private jet experience. These flights are lush and comfortable, with plenty of leg room and space for your belongings. That’s why so many travelers choose these when taking families on trips! There is never a lack of good quality space, and the meals are delicious too.

While they may seem expensive, there are private jet flights available for all budgets. They can easily cost the same or less as a regular flight, but they can also cost much more. Depending on how many people are in your group or what your preferences are, the price will vary based on that.

The main difference between a private jet flight and a regular flight would be the booking and registration process. It is hard to explain how it works since most companies are different. The main thing to remember is that prices and travel times must be quoted and arranged. Since these flights are private, they run on a very different schedule than regular airlines that take masses of people each day to their destinations.

Some airlines only require a short notice. Many allow you to book as late as four hours in advanced, but some require a 24 hour notice. There are plenty of private jet flights that also land in major airports around the world. Most of these have special accommodation areas for first class private jet fliers, so you will never deal with the crowds and hassle.

All types of travelers can benefit from using a top quality private jet service. Whether you are an executive traveling across the world for a business meeting, or an enthusiastic traveler, you can find the best flight for your needs. Many families book private flights to take their children around the world, which is much more preferable than using a regular airline. The options are really endless, and no matter what your reasons for traveling are, you can get to your destination with a private flight.

Closing Comments

If you want a high class flight then a private jet has all you need. They are safer, more enjoyable, and certainly more relaxing than regular airlines of comparable cost. Many are equipped with everything you need for showers, sleeping, and simply kicking back and relaxing.

African Safaris Safer with Trip Cancellation Coverage

February 13, 2010 by Dan Miller

An African safari is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Safaris, however, are dependent on many factors, and your safari operators often require you to be prepared for changes in the schedule of the safari, with appropriate travel cancellation insurance.

However, international travel health insurance is also required in addition to trip cancellation insurance for African safaris. Safari operators may extend coverage when a trip is booked, but it is important to check that their coverage is adequate and costs are reasonable.

Generally, trip cancellation insurance offers other benefits such as baggage safety against loss or theft, in addition to safari cancellation and rescheduling. Baggage safety remains a major problem at African airports.

While most African safaris are held on time, it is not rare for the weather to necessitate change in the safari schedule. Other reasons for the cancellation or postponement of a safari include the lack of the optimum number of participants on the safari, and baggage delay. Trip cancellation insurance can be extremely handy in such a situation.

In case of medical insurance, ensure coverage for all major medical problems, as well as emergency evacuation and repatriation benefits. Usually, travel cancellation insurance can be bundled together with travel medical insurance. Shop around for plans until you receive a suitable trip cancellation and medical insurance plan that works for an African safari.

Trip cancellation insurance usually covers those costs related to travel that are not refunded. These may include hotel reservations, airfare, and other tickets purchased. There must be reasonable proof that there was loss of money related to travel, which can include cancellation receipts and reservation slips.

In the case of the medical evacuation insurance clause in an African safari, one of the things to remember is that many of the areas of the safari are not reachable by phone. This might render impossible pre-approval or contacting the plan administrator to organize the evacuation. You must check with your trip cancellation insurance and travel medical insurance company how you plan to still ensure your claim is honored.

To get the best deals, you must purchase your travel cancellation insurance no later than a week from buying your tickets. Carefully check the plan you have chosen, it might feature the one-week purchase limit as a prerequisite for coverage, or as a prerequisite for extra benefits.

What Do Car Insurance Dollars Pay For?

February 12, 2010 by Adriana Noton

No matter how you pay for car insurance, you probably pay a pretty hefty sum of money for car insurance. While it is possible to lower the amount that you pay by shopping around for insurance, you may still wonder what all those dollar give you. In short, you get peace of mind for the dollars you will pay. The long answer may help you to better understand the final destination of your premiums.

In the first place, by having liability insurance on your car, you are meeting the financial responsibility laws of your state. These financial responsibility laws vary vastly by the amount and types of coverage that are required, but all states require that all drivers be covered with personal injury and property damage insurance on their car. Let this coverage lapse for even a day and some states will cancel your registration or driver’s license until you prove that you have insurance coverage in place and pay an administrative fee or fine.

Driving without car insurance, however, can cost you much more than just a fine. If you are in an accident, you can be held financially responsible for the other person’s vehicle and medical expenses. In addition, you will likely be ticketed for driving without insurance. These expenses can far outweigh anything you might pay in insurance fees.

In addition you will have to pay to have your own vehicle repaired or replaced. In the interim time, you may have to pay for a rental vehicle to take you to and from work and fulfill other duties for which you need a vehicle. This can sometimes be several weeks. The cost you pay for the rental vehicle is often a significant amount of money.

In addition, the comprehensive coverage on your vehicle covers it in the event of vehicle theft, vandalism or if windows are broken and need to be replaced. In many areas car theft is far more common than we would like to think. If your car is stolen, it is not usually recovered without some damage. Many stolen vehicles are eventually wrecked and then abandoned. Others are stripped and sold for parts.

Newer vehicles are often required to have comprehensive coverage by the loan company. If you do not have the insurance the finance company will purchase their own insurance on the vehicle that offers you no coverage, but will pay off the loan if the vehicle is damaged or stolen. This insurance is very costly and will be added to the end of your loan on the vehicle.

The best way to find the cheapest car insurance is to comparison shop by asking for quotes for insurance on line. Many companies offer free quotes just for asking. Get several of the quotes and find the best price for your situation. While you can get quotes without giving personal information, you will get the most accurate quotes by giving all the requested information. Compare each quote to find the best price.

The price that is paid for peace of mind can often be less by comparison shopping for insurance.

Why And How To Choose International Travel Medical Insurance

February 11, 2010 by Adriana Noton

If you are planning your trip to Canada or any other overseas location, then you are probably more occupied with planning your activities and hotels than thinking about your travel insurance. Chances are that you will not need to have international travel medical insurance, but if something does go wrong the small investment in your health can save you a lot of problems.

So you know that you need to find some travel insurance, but choosing a policy can be confusing. There are different companies and options and they each have differing inclusions, exclusions, premiums and gap fees. Before selecting a policy, you should compare what each is offering and make an educated decision based upon your health needs and those of the other people that will be covered with the plan.

When you have worked out the current level of coverage that you have, you will have to start looking at the different travel insurance options that are out there and start comparing what they have to offer. There are various types of travel insurance and most of them base the premiums either on the length of the trip or a fraction of the total price of the trip.

There are a few basic types of travel insurance that you can find: short term coverage for a single trip, open ended or longer term coverage and coverage for multiple trips. If you are planning to live overseas there are expat policies that can cover you indefinitely.

There can be a great deal of difference between different policies. You may be able to save money on some items that are not necessary for you and are extremely unlikely to be necessary when you are overseas. The level of coverage that you need might also depend on the length of time that you will be taking out the policy for.

Some of the inclusions that are usually included with different policies are: emergency medical care, emergency dental care, medical evacuation (covers the cost of transporting you to the nearest hospital equipped to handle your medical emergency), trip cancellation or delay, lost or delayed baggage up to a set amount. It is worth weighing up the likelihood of different conditions and events and you may be able to make realistic cutbacks on inclusions to save some money.

There do tend to be some exclusions with medical travel insurance that you may need to be aware of. The more common ones are – prior medical conditions, pregnancy, adventure sports such as diving and mountain climbing, self caused injury or mental illness.

Before you settle on the international travel medical insurance coverage that you are going to take out, there are a couple of factors which will affect which insurance policy is the right one for you. You need to consider – the length of your trip, your destination, participation in high-risk sports, your general health. Always check up on the fine details and be clear about what you have covered and how to go about making a claim. Travel insurance can make all the difference between a stress free holiday and a disastrous one.

Overseas Health Insurance Policies & Its Need

January 24, 2010 by Dan Miller

Travel plans typically feature preparations for health safety that include a international health Insurance package for the treatment of illnesses during the trip. Travel to foreign locations makes such precautions a necessity. A visit to a local healthcare centre or a doctor is a very likely scenario when the traveler is trying to adjust to different climates, unfamiliar food, and the environment.

International insurance plans cover a wide range of doctors, hospitals or healthcare institutions that are pre-recognized. International travel insurance plans cover a range of situations from short visits to a doctor to an extended stay in a hospital.

International health insurance plans can cover covers single visits, multiple visits and extended international visit for visits longer than six months. If the individual is traveling with family, all family members can be covered under the international travel health insurance plan.

Most international travel health insurance plans cover a wide range of health disorders and emergency health disorders, including illness or injuries caused due to terrorist attacks. A lot of plans also provide additional coverage such as adventurous sports riders on payment of an additional premium.

There are some conditions which are not covered as part of an international health insurance plan, such as pre-existing conditions, dental treatment and cosmetic changes. This is because an international health insurance is a short-term health insurance plan. Some plans offer coverage for pre-existing conditions.

The premiums for travel health insurance are determined by the age of the insurer and the benefits that are selected. There are different plans for men and women.

Treatment at pre-approved medical institutions can be availed by producing the medical identity card that is provided to the traveler with the international travel health insurance plan. This ensures that the bills are paid directly by the insuring company. The traveler is also provided with a list of identified and approved medical centers, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.

It is also possible to receive treatment at a healthcare center, and then receive reimbursement for the treatment later. In this case, the insured must keep all medical records and bills safe. In either case, the insured may have to pre-notify the insurance company before treatment. The travel health insurance plans are underwritten by reputed companies such as Lloyds, AIG, and Nationwide.

Travel Health Insurance Supports Seniors Travel Safe

December 8, 2009 by Ray Sondeo

Retirement is not the end of life, but a beginning of a whole new period of exploration and adventure. It is often the best time to travel, always with travelers medical insurance, as all the factors are usually in place – the finances, availability of time, knowledge to understand and appreciate different experiences, and children being independent.

However free the mind is, remember that the body might not follow. International trips mean that you are more likely to catch an illness or infection during your trip, and remember that your local medical insurance will not be accepted overseas. To keep your travel enjoyable and stress-free, you must purchase international travel health insurance.

To make the most out of your trip, get to know more about the places you will visit, along with information on what illnesses and infections are common there. This information, along with health alerts for travel to specific countries and health insurance options, is provided by the Centers for Disease Control. Needless to say, travel insurance is imperative.

Vaccinations are critical, and any international traveler must remain up to date on his/her immunization. Researching more about specific conditions such as heat and pollen count of destination cities can help seniors plan and schedule their insurance accordingly.

Most travel insurance plans will offer coverage for sudden, unplanned events be it medical or trip-related. Some of the medical benefits include coverage for hospitalization, ambulance services, diagnostics, accidental death or loss of limbs, and repatriation of mortal remains. Some common non-medical benefits offered include trip interruption and loss of baggage.

If you are a senior traveling overseas, prepare yourself for the trip. Request your medical practitioner for a note with information on your pre-existing conditions, regular prescription drugs, if any, and information on drug allergies. Purchase your prescription drugs for the duration of the trip, with a few days extra, to tide over any extension in the itinerary. Travel insurance usually does not cover prescription drug costs.

Because travel insurance is short-term insurance, eye and dental care are usually excluded, and seniors must take an extra set of eyeglasses and dentures, if applicable. Also, an emergency supplies kit with over-the-counter medicines for common ailments will save a lot of trouble later.

Remember to keep a steady, easy pace when traveling periods of high activity alternating with period of low activity may not work well. If possible, find a travel partner or group, or at least, let someone know about your schedule. Avoid travel at night, where possible. Travel insurance is best as a great ally whose services you never actually use.

Why Need Trip Protected Preferred Travel Insurance

November 30, 2009 by Dan Miller

The best vacation values are often found when trips are purchased in advanced. While this is the best way to secure the most reasonable price, what happens if an emergency prevents the traveler from taking the trip? Not including Trip Protected Preferred Travel Insurance when purchasing a vacation package can mean low partial refunds along with high cancellation fees and restrictions if the trip is canceled.

With travel cancellation insurance, buyers are protected from unforeseen incidents that prevent the buyer from traveling. A typical trip cancellation travel insurance plan offers protection against cancellation for any reason, up to a certain period of time.

Trip cancellation plans offer a refund for a certain percentage or up to the total cost of the package. They must be purchased within a certain time frame within the traveler’s departure date.

Emergencies that come up during the trip are also covered by travel cancellation insurance. The buyer of the trip receives coverage for the cost of the trip whether the cancellation is a result of a medical crises or other emergency situation.

Purchasing a vacation package or trip is an investment for many families. When planning a vacation, it’s important to protect your investment with the addition of trip cancellation insurance. This can insure your piece of mind that your trip costs are protected.

Providing protection against emergencies that can interrupt or cancel travel plans saves travelers times and money. Trip cancellation insurance provides important protection, whether planning for a long trip overseas or a short cruise, against unexpected circumstances.

When looking for the best trip cancellation policy for you, it’s best to research several different insurance providers. Be sure to ask about plan costs, limitations and any restrictions that may be included. Having a clear understanding of each plan will help provide a better picture of which plan is right for you.

You dream vacation is an investment – and protecting that investment is the best way to insure a happy and satisfying trip. Protecting against emergencies that prevent travel is the best way to provide peace of mind that your investment is safe.
