Neat Travel Accessories That Makes A Holiday And Vacation Easier

Whether travelers take air flights, luxury cruises, trains, buses, or travel by rental cars on holidays and vacations, many people are curious and want to know what’s new and cool in holiday and vacation travel accessories.
If you would like to know what travel accessories are available to make your trip easier, more comfortable, and safer, here are some great products. These items should be available at most luggage and travel accessories stores.
What are compression bags and how much space can they save you when you pack your luggage?
If you use space saving clear plastic compression bags when packing your clothes, you can save up to a whopping 80% more space in your luggage. They can be used over and over again for many years of very easy packing.
What is a non-slip security wallet?
One accessory you should consider buying is the non-slip security travel wallet. It is about the same size as a regular wallet but it has non-slip rubber on one side which will rub against and catch on the inside of your pocket if it accidentally slips out of your pocket, or if someone tries to pick your pocket. Always put your wallet in your front pocket. Under no circumstances should you ever carry your wallet in your back pocket. Professional thieves the world over call it “the sucker pocket”.
Here’s a neat trick! You can convert your wallet into a non-slip one by putting a few wide rubber bands around it. Another solution that will help with the pickpocket problem is a chain-equipped travel wallet which you can attach to your belt.
The secret waist wallet is a wallet that compliments the non-slip travel wallet. It fits nicely under your shirt or blouse, but is still easily accessible. It is not a good idea to lift your shirt or blouse up and open this wallet in public as you never know who is watching, like a would be pickpocket, or robber. It is best to open it discretely where no one can see you doing it, such as in a public washroom stall.
A leather money belt that has a concealed, zippered pocket on the inner side of it, is an excellent security travel product. You can hide paper money, small, foldable documents, or a key in the secure, zippered pocket.
Elastic security socks have a concealed, zippered type pocket on the inside of each one of a pair of these socks. These socks would be difficult for a pickpocket to access.
Another unique accessory is the RFID blocking passport holder. This radio frequency identification holder protects your passport, and other important documents that could be compromised by data-stealing hackers.
Combination and key accessible combo luggage locks make it possible for custom’s officials to unlock your checked luggage for inspection with special skeleton keys, then lock your luggage up again. You then can dial the combination and you can open your luggage. This can save you a lot of time and money replacing regular locks that custom’s agents had to break to gain entry to inspect your luggage. Another great plus with these combo locks is that you don’t have any keys to worry about losing or replacing.
You can carry a battery-operated, personal security alarm that emits a loud, shrill sound that can help scare off a mugger or robber. Another product that is less costly and will produce the same effect is a referee’s sports whistle, which you can hide under your shirt or blouse, attached to a string, and hung around your neck.
Battery-operated hotel room intruder alarms are great hotel room safety devices. One type of alarm hangs on the room’s door knob. Any movement of the door knob or door will set the alarm off. Another one is the doorstop type which you push under the door’s bottom edge. If someone tries to open the hotel room door, the alarm will be triggered.
Women travelers can buy an innovative security purse that has a steel cable sewn in the strap. This will foil a thief who makes an attempt to cut through the strap and run away with their purse.
Easy to carry, easy to inflate, the pocket pillow is approximately 6″ x 4″ x 1″ and inflates to about 19″ x 15″. It can make a comfortable pillow to rest your head upon when you are tired or want to sleep.
Always protect your eyes from the tropical sun when traveling by wearing sunglasses that carry both a UVA as well as a UVB certified protection label.
A neat little book light that clamps on to the edge of your book will enable you to conveniently read in dim light or in total darkness. It also allows you to read in the dark and not disturb your sleeping travel companion.
If you prefer wearing backpack you should check out a steel-mesh equipped backpack. These backpacks have steel mesh sewn into the sides and bottom, the most vulnerable places where a thief can slash it with a knife. When this happens, everything tumbles out, and the thief and his cohorts will grab anything of valuable and run in different directions.
Keep in mind that you will probably have to use adaptor plugs and converters if you are traveling to certain countries.
One of the largest travel accessory stores, Magellan’s, has an award-winning catalogue that has everything for travelers from connector and adaptor plugs to secret security wallets. You can order their complete line of products catalogue online, at Magellans.com
Tilley Endurables, a legendary manufacturer of sun-protective travel clothing and accessories, created the world-famous Tilley Hat. They specialize in making stylish, comfortable, and practical outdoor hats and travel clothing. Most fabrics they use in manufacturing their hats and clothing carry a certified UPF 50 rated label, which is the highest rating for sun protection available. You can get their sun-protective clothing and accessories catalogue by going to their website, at Tilleys.com.

All children dream of going to Disneyland at least once in their life, but let’s not forget that adults also like to take part in fun activities and be entertained too, which is just what Disneyland offers. The problem is that for anyone who lives outside of the U.S, traveling to the original Disneyland is a very expensive trip. On the other hand, Disneyland Paris can be easily reached by anyone who lives in Europe.
Even if you live in the U.S, it can make a nice change to take a vacation outside of the country. By going to Disneyland Paris, you can have the same exciting Disney experience, but also mix it up with some European culture by taking a day trip or two to nearby places. That is of course, if you can manage to find any spare time, as Disneyland Paris is absolutely packed with things for you to see and do!
It is no surprise that Disney Paris is becoming more popular as they have hotels in Eurodisney that offer all the facilities you need for a fun holiday. Hotels in Disneyland Paris include the official Disneyland Hotel right on site, and the Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Hotel Cheyenee and the Sequoia Lodge, which all offer easy access to the fun.
Staying in a Disneyland Paris hotel is something that you will remember for a long time. It is easy enough to get to the theme park itself as a free shuttle service leaves every 10 minutes from your hotel. You can also take the shuttle service to Disney Village, which is an entertainment district that includes shops, restaurants, cinemas and bars.
Another great benefit of Disneyland Paris is that more than 80% of the attractions and rides are under cover, so there is no risk of getting sun burnt or wet. The rides and attractions at Euro Disney have something to offer for everyone and you can reduce your waiting time when you use the free fastpass service.

How to Get Married in Paradise

When you get married, it is all about the love, sharing that special day with your partner, family and friends. However, as air fares get cheaper and destinations more accessible, it is becoming more and more common for couples to take their weddings off-shore, or off-state to a new and romantic location.
Why is this becoming popular? Firstly, it allows you tailor your wedding around a favourite holiday destination or place of significance. Did you dream of getting married on the beach, frangipanis in your hair and a golden sunset, but you are stuck in the city? Dream no more, tropical weddings are affordable and professional with many tropical destinations offering specialist wedding and honeymoon packages.
Destinational wedding packages can be tailored to suit your dreams. From romantic couple only escapes to complete family and friends getaways.
When thinking of taking your wedding away, beachside nuptials appear to be the preferred escape and Cairns, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia is the perfect destination. Cairns offers happy couples a variety of options. A ceremony on the beach, with the sand between your toes, or something more formal in a seaside chapel, followed by a beach reception with tables set up in the sand. Arrive by car, or for something different, you can kayak or even sky dive into your nuptials. Many couples have experienced the thrill of this in Cairns, Australia and it brings a whole new meaning to pre-wedding jitters or nerves.
Is this not close enough to the water for you? In Cairns, you can even get married underwater, while diving the Great Barrier Reef. Don’t believe me! It has been done, underwater photographers are available to capture your special moment with nemo and a graceful sea turtle as your witness.
If that is too extreme, but you want to include a visit to the Reef in your destinational wedding, then simply plan a half day or full day trip around your nuptials. There are plenty of combinations available in Cairns Australia, from a helicopter trip to an isolated coral cay, to an exclusive charter taking you to a remote, pristine coral reef.
What about your guests? Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia are considered a must visit destination for many people. Everyone wants to go there, most just need an excuse. Make your wedding a trip of a lifetime for you and your guests by bringing them to Cairns.
As well as being a part of your special day, this tropical paradise offers a range of exciting activities. Reef trips, rainforest excursions, beach horse riding, tropical taste tours and some of the world’s leading spa retreats are all found here.
If you lean more green than blue in your wedding choices, Cairns is the only place on earth where World Heritage tropical rainforest slides down to meet the golden beaches and fringes of the Great Barrier Reef.
These are the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforests and you can get married here, celebrating your love in this pristine nature’s paradise. Let towering cathedral figs be your altar, mossy pavers your aisle and falling leaves your confetti. Rainforest weddings can be as formal or informal as you like. A range of chapels are nestled amongst the greenery for more traditional ceremonies, or slip off your shoes and take your celebrant somewhere remote for a memorable ceremony.
Your guests will thank you for bringing them to this amazing tropical paradise. When they are not at your wedding, they can enjoy luxurious accommodation, explore the reef and rainforest, cuddle a koala or even take an outback tour.
There are many activities to choose from that the wedding party and guests can enjoy. There could be activities such as shopping, snorkeling, boat rides, guided tours or even wine tasting. Just keep in mind that it is typically the bride or groom or their families footing the bill so be sure not to tell your guests the cost of the bill because they more than likely would feel uncomfortable having someone else paying for them.
The great part of destination weddings is that it is usually more intimate and typically only the close family and friends come. So you could have more personal activities. You could have a sleepover the night before the wedding and have everyone over to the hotel for movies, drinks, and popcorn.
Just remember that for many of your guests your destination wedding may double as their vacation. So be sure to find out their plans so that you don’t over book. Some guests may choose to plan their own activities.
Any activities you choose, your destination wedding will be sure to be special and a long lasting memory for many years to come.
When planning your destinational wedding, make sure you use a professional Cairns wedding photographer, because you will want to capture your Cairns Wedding Photography in the best possible light.
Ireland Needs to Be On Your List Of Gay Destinations
February 13, 2010 by Howie Holben
Gay vacations to Ireland have been a popular choice dating back to at least the time of Oscar Wilde. While Ireland may not have been nearly as LGBT-friendly in his time, it has come a long way since the days of folks – like Wilde – being sent to hard labor camps or jail for what was then known as “indecency.” In fact, up until 1861 the act of sodomy was punishable by death, but today Ireland has recently moved ahead of the U.S. when it comes to LGBT rights by legalizing civil unions for same-sex couples in 2009, after decriminalizing homosexuality in 1993.
While this may not necessarily mean that every rural village – or even every metropolitan area – in this largely Catholic country now fully embraces same-sex relationships, Ireland has become a much more accepting, welcoming country as a whole and is a truly remarkable choice for gay travel. Most of Ireland’s larger cities, including Cork, Dublin, Galway and Waterford, now have a thriving community, establishments that are LGBT-friendly or LGBT-owned, annual community celebrations and a plethora of attractions that could easily fill your whole vacation; however, you also will not want to miss visiting the Irish countryside and exploring quaint villages sitting at the top of breathtaking cliffs along the coast.
There are now many Irish cities that have LGBT organizations, popular hangouts, annual celebrations and a thriving community, but Dublin remains the unquestionable center of Irish LGBT life, making it an absolute must-see during gay travel to Ireland. The nightlife in Dublin is an interesting blend of upscale clubs with dress codes and a casual LGBT pub scene, which allows those on gay vacations to Ireland to experience different aspects of LGBT life in Dublin. Depending on when you arrive, you may also have the opportunity to take part in one of Dublin’s annual community events, including the Dublin Lesbian and Gay Film Festival in July, Dublin International LGBTQ Pride in June, and the popular Dublin Gay Theatre Festival, which takes place each May.
Other happenings throughout the year are listed in Ireland’s most popular community magazine, GCN, so those who want to experience the scene during Dublin gay vacations will want to grab a copy when they get to town. Aside from community activities, there are many attractions you will likely want to visit while in Dublin, including the Oscar Wilde House Museum, the Hugh Lane Gallery, the Old Jameson Distillery, the Guinness Storehouse, the Book of Kells and The George, which is Dublin’s most famous LGBT bar.
Folks planning gay tours should consider partaking in group gay tours to ensure that they do not miss out on the plethora of historical, cultural and natural attractions that this intriguing, romantic nation has to offer.

Noosa Heads, Australia – Spectacular Sunshine Coast Holiday Destination

Many tourists know the Sunshine Coast, a northern area of the state of Queensland in Australia. People are gradually starting to flock to a particular town in this lovely piece of land, Noosa Heads. Becoming more and more popular for its many amenities and tourist conveniences, this little town has a lot to give for any vacation.
Of the three centres in the Noosa region of Queensland, Noosa Heads is a hub of tourism and activity. It is about one hundred and thirty six kilometres north of the state capital, Brisbane. Many people come to Noosa Heads for transportation reasons, as its bus station has buses that leave to other parts of the Sunshine Coast.
The Noosa district boasts many national parks and not surprisingly, Noosa Heads is bordered by Noosa National Park itself. Surprisingly enough, most Australians have never seen a koala in the wild themselves. At this seaside town, it’s very likely and easy to spot a koala in its natural habitat. The hotels and resorts that are built around the area can brag happily that they are a stones throw from the very forests tourists and Australian residents alike are looking to see.
Noosa Heads is considered to be a town with international sophistication while still maintaining the laid back and carefree ways of any seaside town. Surrounded by unspoiled bush land, green rainforests and pristine lakes, visitors can choose between opulent hotels or even a tent, if they wish. The hiking trails through out each of the nearby national parks provide access to secluded bays and coves, and there are canals throughout the town to peacefully drift down on rented boats or dinner cruises.
At the bus station in the town, many buses take people away to other parts of the Sunshine Coast. Wise people will locate themselves right in Noosa Heads, due to the amount of activities and vacation enjoyment to be had right inside this little seaside town. With a national park nearby as well as the Noosa River, vacation ventures are never ending, from shopping and dining in fine restaurants to staying in a luxurious hotel or taking day cruises along the river.
One of the more exciting activities available in the area is that of surfing. As far back as the 1950s, surfing was influenced by locals who helped to create modern innovations to this sport. The Noosa Festival of Surfing is held here every year and includes the World Tandem Surfing Championships as well as the Mixing of the Waters ceremony. Long a secret centre for surfing fans, Noosa Heads is now a part of Coastal Watch’s surf cams. As early as five thirty local time, surfers can be seen in handfuls braving the morning waves on the beautiful empty beaches. Noosa surfing points produce long and peeling waves that have perfect barrel sections, best caught when the beaches are less packed.
The modern hotels of Noosa Heads often have poolside restaurants with award winning chefs to take care of every guests palate. Many rooms are self sufficient, with attached kitchenettes, and there are usually many penthouse suites available with a wide range of amenities. Whether lounging poolside or taking in the view from the balcony, these hotels are fit for all budgets and all styles of vacation. Visitors might even wish to rent a holiday home with multiple bedrooms and pet facilities. Noosa beaches are known the world over and every hotel and villa will be close enough to a beach to make swimming a most pleasurable pastime while on vacation.
Visiting Australia is a popular choice for many tourists every year. Choosing where to go can be difficult, though most have heard of the Sunshine Coast. Noosa Heads is a great little town providing all the amenities a millionaire would wish for on an ideal vacation but also catering to those on a budget or wanting something less luxurious and more down-to-earth. Whether coming for the surfing, shopping or just to lie on a beach, this little town offers it all.

If you are looking for the perfect trip away, then you should consider Greek Islands holidays. With all that is on offer there, it is easy to see why these islands continue to have such an irresistible appeal to so many people.
There are only a small number of places that have such an ancient and legendary history, and even fewer enjoy such a high level of name recognition. Try a Google image search for ‘Greek Islands holidays’ and you will be able to get a glimpse of the beauty that goes with the history.
The pictures you see of Greece can not really do it justice though. Whilst it is possible to appreciate some of the beauty of the place from afar, you need to get close up to it, and to feel the wonderful accompanying atmosphere, to really understand what Greece is about.
That so many people have made Greek Islands holidays an annual event is testament to the fact that it is an ideal tourist destination, and it is a place that everyone should visit at least once. After that first visit though, you will find that making a return visit will be irresistible.
Greek Islands holidays can be as adventure packed as you like. Hiking, sailing, snorkeling and scuba diving are all sports that you can enjoy. If a more tranquil holiday is what you have in mind though, then there are island locations that will provide you with the seclusion and privacy you crave.
There is so much to see and do there that it would literally be impossible to experience everything on a week or two week trip there. The charming paradises that are the Greek Islands are so different to one another, that a holiday on one of them would be totally different to a holiday on one of the others.
Greek Islands holidays are richly filled with spectacular beauty, deep emotion and breathtaking opportunities to connect with ancient civilizations. You can experience classic Greek architecture and history when you visit the Cyclades Islands and then be whisked away to compare this lifestyle with the Venetian influenced culture that is present on the Ionian Islands.
A popular choice with tourists is a visit to the Sardonic Gulf Islands which are close to Greece’s mainland area. You can sign up for a day trip and easily travel to Aegina, Poros, Spetses, and Hydra.
If you choose one of the Greek Islands holidays that involve the northern or central area of Greece then you will most likely be able to visit the Sporades Islands. These are islands that feature a quieter, more intimate atmosphere and some of the most exotic landscapes to be found anywhere in this region.
Due to the wide range of Greek Islands to choose from, you can be sure that there will be one, or even a few, that perfectly match your taste and budget. Actually, given the quality on offer, it would be difficult to make a bad decision on which island to spend your holiday on.
