Got a spare few days off work? What do you do, do you stay at home or do you join thousands of other people who regularly benefit from the cheap flights available with the low cost airlines and enjoy a hotel break

Airports that were under used or considered unpopular now have flights arriving from all over Europe. These previously unpopular or uneconomical airports have now expanded on the back of the boom in low cost airlines and their network of flights around Europe.

The choice of destinations is now larger than they have ever been and you can jet off cheaply by booking a bargain flight then getting some accommodation online and jetting off for the weekend.

The possible problem with overseas trips on the low cost airlines is the flight times. If the flight leaves in the early afternoon or morning the return flight has to leave earlier to get back to collect other passengers. Generally if a flight is in the early afternoon the return flight will be late morning or early afternoon. This means when you wake you could just be left with enough time to get breakfast in the hotel before you have to set off for the airport for your return flight. This would only leave you with a few hours the day before to enjoy your destination.

A lot of people get caught up in the sound of an overseas short break by air because it sounds more impressive than a weekend break in the UK. Perhaps you are worried about the weather and think it would be better in an overseas destination.

You can get lots of flights within the UK and Ireland to some really interesting locations and with a greater number of flights you can leave at an earlier time and return on a later flight giving you more time away and not in the airport.

There is a fantastic choice of quality destinations in the UK and Ireland that can offer it’s own unique experience for the visitor. Some of the destinations include Edinburgh, Dublin, London, Cardiff, Belfast, Manchester and many more.

Why not spend more time away at a UK destination than in the airport. You do not have to take the plane you could drive or take the train. More and more hotels offer more than just a room for the night. You could even book a murder mystery weekend or visit a theme park or spend the day on the Orient Express. There are lots of different hotel break options available.
