A lot of people I’ve talked to assume that most of Utah looks either like a bunch of ski resorts or it’s a crazy desert like Moab. The truth is that yes, Utah offers all of these things. But it also offers some great urban living!

What to Do in the Urban Parts of Utah

The largest urban part of Utah is Salt Lake City. But the great thing about living in Salt Lake City or its suburbs is that you are a short distance from anything you want to do.

If you’re into skiing or snowboarding, Utah is home to some of the greatest snow on earth. People come from all over the world to ski our slopes. But if you’re more of a summer person, you can also enjoy numerous activities in the mountains as well.

To the West is the Great Salt Lake. Utah is also home to many other lakes that are a short drive away if you enjoy water sports. Take your pick and have a nice day at the lake!

Speaking of sports, Salt Lake City is also home to the Utah Jazz! And in other sports, Salt Lake City is also home to the Major League Soccer team Real Salt Lake. The Stein Eriksen Lodge has arguably one of the finest restaurants in the county with its Glitretind Restaurant. The Glitretind is also famous for its daily Skiers Lunch Buffet during the winter season.

No matter what your personal preference, Deer Valley Resort certainly lives up to its reputation as a top ski destination in North America. There are now many unique dining options to compliment the fabulous skiing and scenery. Its definitely worth a closer look.
